Tips for Guests
If you are traveling to Florida from outside the USA, you should take note that it is the norm to provide a gratuity to the server of your meal. Typically you should tip 15% of the bill value, and up to 20% for exceptional service or if there is a larger group (8 or more) in your party. Eating out in the US is excellent value because the prices are controlled through the payment of low salaries to serving staff. Their wages are therefore augmentd by tips. If you ignore this, expect to get poor service and possibly even a pointed comment or two!
